Meizu, is two Chinese words, 魅 and 族. (Mei and Zu)

魅 (Mei) means something like &squot;modern&squot; and 族 (Zu) means something like &squot;group or race&squot;. Together, it means something like &squot;the modern race&squot;, that the ones who have Meizu mp3 are part of a modern, more stylish group of people.
