The Giiq (MDR-PQ2) is a pair of entry-level over-the-ear headphones from Sony, released in May 2010. This pair of headphones has 30mm dome-type drivers with a response range of 10 - 24,000 Hz. The speakers use neodymium magnets to deliver ample bass and clear sound. The “Giiq” name is derived from the pair’s retro appearance, featuring decades past colors and designs. Sony describes these headphones as having a smooth elastomer texture, a breathable material that’s designed to keep the user comfortable. The colored cord measures 3.9 feet (1.2 meters), and has a stylish flat design. The stereo mini plug is gold-plated, and has the L-shaped form factor.
