สมัยรุ่นๆๆ เวลาเซ็งๆๆๆ ผมมักจะเปิด Heavy Metal ของ Led Zeppelin หรือ Deep Purple ครับ อัดซัก 2 เพลงพอให้ขี้หูร่วง รับรองว่าหายแน่นอนล่ะ

Paul Potts : จากเซลส์แมนขายมือถือมาร้องโอเปราต่อหน้าควีน

Mr. Simple Man ประเดิมคนแรกของซีรีสชุดนี้ คือ พอล พอทท์ (อ่านคล้ายๆ พอลพต แต่ชื่อหลังห่างไกลจากแรงบันดาลใจมาก) กูรูเพิ่งได้ดูสารคดีชีวิตของคุณคนธรรมดาคนนี้ ไมกี่เพลามานี้เอง พอดูจบต้องรีบทำการงานขอค้นคว้าต่อเลยว่า อีตานี่เป็นใครมาจากไหน ดูหน้าตาก็แสนจะซื่อบื้อเสียจริง ฟันก็เหยเก เฉิ่ม เชย หน้าตาไม่ชวนสาวฝันถึง ออกจะดูดาวน์ๆเล็กน้อยด้วยซ้ำ

แล้วทำไมถึงมาเป็นแรงบันดาลใจ Your Excellency, Mr. Simple Man ได้

Paul Potts เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 13 ตุลาคม 1970 ที่เมือง Fishponds Bristol ในประเทศอังกฤษ มีพ่อเป็นคนขับรถบัส แม่เป็นแคชเชียร์ในซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต Paul Potts รักการร้องเพลงมาตั้งแต่เด็ก เคยเข้าร่วมร้องเพลงประสานเสียงในโรงเรียนและที่โบสถ์ประจำบ้านเกิด มีครั้งหนึ่งเสียงร้องของเขาถูกเพื่อนๆล้อเลียน จนทำให้ตนเองขาดความมั่นใจ ประหม่าอาย อันเป็นความวิตกกังวลที่ติดตัวมาถึงตอนโต Embarassed

ถึงกระนั้นก็ตาม Paul Potts ไม่เคยละความฝันและความพยายาม เขาทำทุกวิถีทางเพื่อจะเรียนรู้วิธีการร้องเพลงโอเปราอย่างถูกต้อง ถึงขนาดเข้าประกวดร้องเพลงเพื่อเอาเงินรางวัล 8,000 ปอนด์ไปเป็นค่าเดินทางข้ามน้ำข้ามทะเลไปเรียนการร้องเพลงที่อิตาลี

Paul Potts ฝึกปรือการร้องเพลงโอเปราด้วยบทบาทสมมติอีกหลายครั้ง เพื่อดำเนินตามรอยฝันที่จะเอาดีด้านนี้ แต่ความฝันของหนุ่มน้อยก็สะดุดลง ในปี 2003 เมื่อเจ้าตัวประสบอุบัติเหตุขณะขี่รถจักรยานจนไหปลาร้าหัก Paul Potts เลยต้องเบนเข็มชีวิตไปประทังอาชีพอื่นที่หารายได้เลี้ยงตัว นั่นก็คือ เป็นเซลส์แมนขายมือถือให้กับบริษัทยักษ์ใหญ่แห่งหนึ่งบนเกาะอังกฤษ

ด้วยสถานะการเงินที่ฝืดเคืองตลอดจนหนี้สินรุมเร้า (คาดว่าเขาคงไม่ใช่เซลส์ที่เก่งแน่ๆ) Paul Potts ตัดสินใจเข้าประกวดโครงการ Britain’s Got Talent เพื่อหวังเงินรางวัลมาสักก้อนพอดำรงชีวิตในขณะนั้น ด้วยความซื่อบื้อ เฉิ่มเชยเบอะของเขา ไม่มีใครคิดว่านายหนุ่มฟันเกจะแสดงทาเลนท์อะไรออกมา รูปร่างก็อ้วน ม่อต้อ แสนไม่เจริญหู เจริญตา มือไม้ แขน ขา ประหม่าไปหมด แจ็ตเก็ตที่สวมขึ้นเวทีก็ซอมซ่อ เชิ้ตตัวข้างในใส่ซ้ำซากมาแล้วกี่หนก็ไม่รู้

คณะกรรมการเพียงแค่ขอให้นายคนนี้ทำอะไรสักอย่างให้จบๆ แล้วก็ลงเวทีไปซะ เสียเวลาตัดสินสิ้นดี

แต่เพียงแค่คำแรกที่นายซื่อบื้อแสนธรรมดาคนนี้เผยอปากเท่านั้น เหมือนโลกทั้งโลกสว่างไสวขึ้นมาทันที

บทเพลงที่ Paul Potts นำมาขับขานสร้างความตะลึงงันให้กับรายการคืนนั้น คือเพลง Nessan Dorma (None Shall Sleep tonight) จากอุปรากรเพลงเรื่อง Turandot ของ Puccini
(เป็นเพลงที่เปิดคลอในนิทรรศการของ กาลิเลโอ คินีจัดเมื่อกลางปีที่แล้ว)

สุดสิ้นเสียงร้องของ Paul Potts ผู้ฟังในรายการกว่า 2,000 คนถึงกับยืนปรบมือเกรียวกราว แบบ Standing Ovation อย่างพร้อมเพรียง ยาวนานราวกับว่า นายหนุ่มคนนี้ได้เติมเต็มความฝันของคนอังกฤษที่ปรารถนาจะเข้าถึงสุนทรียรส ดนตรีคลาสสิค (อังกฤษคงโหยหานักร้องโอเปรามานานเต็มที ที่มีอยู่ทุกวันนี้ไม่มีชาวอังกฤษเลยสักคน)

การแสดงของ Paul Potts ได้เรียกเร็ตติ้งรายการพุ่งกระฉูดทันทีในสัปดาห์ที่สอง สาม และสี่
จนกระทั่งมาถึงสัปดาห์สุดท้ายที่ต้องแข่งกับทาเลนท์คนเก่งๆทั่วทั้งเกาะ รวมทั้งเด็กหญิงเสียงมหัศจรรย์วัย 6 ขวบ แต่นั่นแหละ เมื่อเพชรถูกเจียระไนแล้วก็ยิ่งเปล่งประกายมากขึ้น

ความสามารถของหนุ่มนักร้องโอเปราจากเกาะอังกฤษเริ่มขจรขจายไปยังประเทศ อื่นๆ ทั้งในอเมริกา ฝรั่งเศส เยอรมัน และต้นตำรับอย่างอิตาลี จนใครบางคนถึงกับบอกว่า นี่แหละคือ ปาวารติคนที่ 2 (Luciano Pavarotti หนึ่งใน Three Tenors เสียชีวิตไปแล้ว)

ในเดือนธันวาคม 2007 เขาได้มีโอกาสเข้าแวะเยี่ยมทำเนียบนายกรัฐมนตรี ณ บ้านเลขที่ 10 ถนนดาวน์นิ่ง โดยคำเชิญของ นายกอร์ดอน บราวน์ เพื่อมอบโล่ห์เกียรติยศสำหรับศิลปินข่าวอังกฤษที่รังสรรค์อัลบั้ม One Chance และขายได้มากถึง 2,000,000 แผ่น อังกฤษไม่มีนักร้อง ศิลปินที่สร้างชื่อเสียงโด่งดังขนาดนี้มานานแล้ว

ปัญหา?......เวลามันจะพัดผ่านไป.......

ช่วงนี้ปัญหาตัวผม ไม่ค่อยมี แต่ก็มีปัญหากับครอบครัวของน้องสาว ซึ่งมันผูกพัน มาเป็นปัญหาที่เราต้องช่วยแก้....

อดีต ปี 42ปัญหาของผมที่เคยเจอหนักหนาสาหัส จนแทบไม่ได้หลับได้นอน แม่ผมโดนหลานหลอกให้เว็นเอกสารบางอย่าง

โดยเอาที่ดินสวนเป็นการค้ำประกัน แต่ ปรากฏว่าโดน จนท ธนาคารแห่งหนึ่งรวมหัวกันกับญาติผมให้แม่ผมเซ็นต์ๆเอกสาร จากการเอาที่สวนค้ำประกันอย่างเดียวกลายเป็นไปเซ็นต์รับหนี้ที่เขาก่อขึ้น กลายเป็นลูกหนี้ร่วม และหนี้ที่จะเกิดอีก โดนฟ้องมหาศาล ศาลพิจาณาก็รู้ว่าโดนหลอก แต่หลักฐานมันมีลายเซ็นต์.............

ปีที่แล้วผมแทบจะเลิกเล่นหูฟังไปแล้ว ร่างกายแย่ อึดอัด ปล่อยตัวอ้วนมาก ผมอ้วนๆแล้วลดน้ำหนักมาทีละ 15 กิโลกรัม 4-5รอบแล้ว ต้นปีที่51ร่างกายแย่ที่สุด เพราะอายุเริ่มมากขึ้น ไม่รักษาสุขภาพแถมทำลายมันอีก....คิดได้ปุ๊บปั๊บ ทำแบบนี้ ไม่ได้เห็นลูกโตแน่ กลับมาออกกำลังกายอีกครั้ง และเลิกดื่ม มาปีกว่าแล้ว และคิดว่าคงไม่ดื่มอีกแล้ว....ตอนนั้นตรวจสุขภาพ มีผลเกินนิดๆ ...หลังเริ่มออกกำลังตรวจร่างกายตลอด...ผลมันดีขึ้นเรื่อยๆน้ำหนักลดลงต่อเนื่อง...จนซูบ..พอถ่ายรูปออกมาผอมลงมากรับไม่ได้...เลยสบายกินได้อีก จนน้ำหนักขึ้นมาอีกอ้วนอีก แต่สภาพร่างกายสบายเพราะออกกำลังประจำ....เวลานี้ถ้าให้ผมปั่นจักรยาน 100 กิโลเมตรบอกได้เลยว่าสบายแล้วเพราะปกติต่อวันก็ 30 กิโลเมตรขึ้นแทบทุกวัน แฟนก็ไม่ว่าเพราะผมใช้เวลาที่ไม่รบกวนครอบครัว ตี5กว่าๆ.....เพลงก็ฟังเพราะ......เอาลำโพงจานบินติดไปฟังด้วยเป็นเครื่องเสียงจักรยานแบบน่าหมั่นไส้ ไม่กล้าใช้หูฟังบนถนนครับ อันตราย......

....เวลาและมิตรจะช่วยเราได้ ซึ่งไม่จำเป็นต้องด้วยเงิน คำพูด คำแนะนำ คำปลอบโยน กำลังใจ เป็นสิ่งสำคัญมาก ...ผมก็ชอบเว็ปนี้ตรงที่ชอบในสิ่งเดียวกัน ที่สำคัญ เว็ปนี้ การจัดการเรื่องร้อนๆของเฮียทำได้ดีมาก การขัดแย้งจากที่จะลามกลายเป็นเบาลง สุดท้าย ผมว่ากลายเป็นเพื่อนๆกันแล้วมั้ง

เว็ปบอร์ด เห็นมากๆคือเรื่องการขัดแย้งกลายเป็นทะเลาะ แบ่งพรรคพวก ในนี้ ผมยังไม่รู้จักแบบเป็นทางการเห็นหน้าสักคน แต่คุยกันได้สนุกดี และมีน้ำใจมาก.....

ถ้าคิดดี คิดแล้วนิ่ง ผมว่าเรื่องต่างๆๆ มันผ่านไปได้ครับ บางทีบางเรื่องพอเกิดขึ้นตูม เรารู้สึกว่ามันใหญ่เกินจะแก้ แต่พอเราถอยหลังออกมาตั้งหลักซะหน่อย เราจะเริ่มว่ามันไม่ได้ยากอย่างที่คิดในเมื่อตะกี๊ 555

ผมชอบนั่งร้านกาแฟ นั่งมองคนเค้าถกปัญหา นั่งฟังเค้าวิจารณ์ วิเคราะห์ ผมชอบศึกษาชีวิตคนจากร้านกาแฟ...คนนั่งร้านกาแฟ มักจะเป็นคนชอบคุย และมักจะเป็นคอเดียวกัน เห็นแตกต่างบ้าง แต่เรื่องฟาดปากกันคงไม่มี ซึ่งต่างจากร้านเหล้า กินโต๊ะเดียวกัน เผลอแพล็บเดียวแทงกันไส้ไหลไปแล้ว......

อ่า คุณย่องลองเปลี่ยนแนวมาฟังพวกดนตรีที่ไม่มีคำร้อง อย่างแนวๆ คลาสสิค ดูบ้างไหมครับ เผื่อว่าจะได้รู้สึกดีๆ ขึ้นมาบ้าง.... สำหรับในท่วงทำน้อง ตามที่คุณย่อง อยากจะลองฟัง ผมขออนุญาต แนะนำเพลง Traumerei ครับ (หรือว่า Dreaming) จาก บทเพลงในชุด Kinderszenen ของ Robert Schumann ครับ เพลงนี้ ที่ผมเคยฟัง โดยมากจะบรรเลงโดยขลุ่ย Flute ครับ ซึ่งให้โทน ทุ้มๆ หน่อย แต่ใน Version ที่บรรเลงโดย Piano ก็มีครับ.... ฟังแล้วก็ให้ความรู้สึกที่ช่วยผ่อนคลายได้ในระดับหนึ่งครับ...

ส่วนอีกเพลงหนึ่ง ก็เป็น Rhapsody in Blue ของ George Geshwin ครับ เพลงนี้บรรเลงในท่วงทำนองช้า เรื่อยๆ ครับ มีกลิ่นอายของแนว Jazz หน่อยๆ ครับ...

หรือถ้าฟังแล้วยังต้องการอีก ผมก็ขอแนะนำเพลง Pavane ของ Gabriel Faure ครับทำนองเพลงนี้ให้บรรยายกาศที่รู้สึกหม่นๆ เศร้าๆ หน่อย ซึ่งเป็นการระลึกถึงเหตุการณ์ในอดีต ครับผม การบรรเลงเพลงนี้ก็มีเครื่องดนตรีค่อนข้างครบครับ เว้นแต่จังหวะเร้าใจๆ หน่อยครับ...

ถ้าหากว่า ชอบแนวเพลงบรรยายถึงธรรมชาติ... ผมก็ขอแนะนำเพลง...
La Mer ของ DeBussy ครับ ที่บรรเลงถึงความงามของท้องทะเล ได้ดีครับ แต่ว่าบางจังหวะอาจจะฟังแล้วสะเทือนใจไปบ้างครับ...
หรือไม่ก็ Clair de Lune ก็ดีครับ (ของ DeBussy) เช่นเดียวกัน แต่เพลงนี้บรรเลงแนวเสียงโทนทุ้มๆ ครับที่บรรยายถึงความงามของดวงจันทร์ในเวลาค่ำคืน

เพลง Venus the peace bringer ของ Gustav Holst ในชุด The planets ก็แจ่มครับ ฟังเรื่อยๆ เพื่อหาความสงบในจิตใจได้ดีครับ... การบรรเลงค่อนข้างเบา ครับ แต่ว่าให้ความรู้สึกผ่อนคลายได่ดีครับผม....
