X5 firmware version 2.00 (2014-04-28)
Changes from 1.20/1.23beta:
New / improved features:
1. Support for DSD64 music tracks in DSDIFF (.dsf) and DFF (.dff) formats.
2. Support for OTG storage (currently supports USB drives powered by Skymedi, Luansheng, Innostor, SiliconGo, Phison, CBM and Bensheng USB controllers. USB hard disks not yet supported.)
3. Support for APE music tracks upgraded to High at 192k/24bit.
4. Support for AAC-HE.

3. Removed support for APE files at Insane compression level (as player
becomes too unresponsive while attempting to play such files)
4. Fixed regression in 1.21 and 1.22 where album art display was delayed
for a few seconds after playback of a new song.
5. Added support for ID3 tags from DSD files in DFF format.

5. Player's screen will now turn off after the predefined screen timeout interval when charging.
6. Deleted lockscreen prompt (ie. screen will stay off when buttons other than power button are pressed when screen is locked)
7. Fix for issues with the X5 not being recognized upon connection to computers.
8. Numerous other bug fixes.

: Precautions before firmware update:
• The TF card should preferably be a blank card of 32GB of capacity or under in FAT32 format.
• Make sure the X5 is adequately charged (preferably fully charged) for the update process to prevent power failure during the update;
• Do not operate other buttons and dials on the player during the update process.
• If the update process fails, hold the power button for 10 seconds for a forced shutdown and turn the player on in update mode again to resume the update.
- Summary of TF card upgrade procedure:
1. Copy the x5.fw file provided by FiiO into the root directory of a TF card in FAT32 format;
2. Turn off the X5 and insert the TF card into slot 1 of the X5;
3. Hold the power button while holding the Shortcuts key (upper left key of the X keygroup) to turn on the X5 in firmware update mode. The following firmware update dialogs will appear and after the update is complete, the player will restart automatically.
• After the update process is complete, please delete the x5.fw file from the TF card and update the media library.
• The TF card should preferably be a blank card of 32GB of capacity or under in FAT32 format.

วิธีอัพตามนี้เลยจ้า
หลักๆก็ใช้เม็มที่เป็น format FAT32
วางไฟล์อัพเดทไว้ด้านนอกสุดครับ
★Choose a TF card with FAT32 file system, preferably a blank card with capacity at or under 32GB.
★Ensure that the X5 is sufficiently charged (preferably fully charged) before the upgrade to prevent power failure during upgrade.
Methods to Upgrading via TF card:
1. Choose a card with FAT32 file system.
2. Unzip the firmware upgrade package from FiiO and copy the x5.fw file within to the root directory of the TF card.
3. Turn off the X5 and insert the card into the TF slot 1 (Left side).
4. Hold the “Shortcuts” key (the key to the upper left of the scroll wheel) and then press the “Power / Lock” button to turn on the X5. The following firmware upgrade dialog will appear.
★Do not press buttons or turn the dial on the X5 while the upgrade is in progress.
