.So is this a hybrid amplifier with SS (HDVD 800) front end with tube output stage? I thought ECC803S/12AX7 were a preamp tube so perhaps its the other way around?

ยิ่งเศรษฐกิจแบบนี้หายห่วงเลยครับ ขนาดร้านก๊วยเตี๋ยวยังร้องโอ๊กเลยครับ ห้างต่างๆเงียบยังกับเป่าสาก คนเดินโหรงเหรงเต็มทน 555

การที่ Sennheiser ทำแอมป์ + DAC ราคาสูงออกมาทำให้แผนการเปลี่ยนแปลง

ที่รอคือมี Electrostatic amplifier อีกสองตัวซึ่งคุณภาพน่าจะเหนือกว่า Blue Hawaii SE,
DIY T2 ตัวแรกคือ Stax SRM T2 ซึ่งเป็นต้นแบบของ DIY T2 ทีมของ Stax กำลังมีแผนการที่ผลิตออกมา
อีกตัวหนึ่งเป็น 845 Electrostatic amplifier (อาจเป็นของ Viva) ร่วมกับ Frank Cooter
เพราะฉะนั้นคงมีตัวให้เลือกเพิ่มขึ้น แต่ก็ไม่ทราบว่าจะใช้ได้กับ Orpheus ตัวใหม่หรือไม่

มีข่าวลือว่าโดยการออกแบบใหม่ของ Sennheiser amplifier/DAC น่าจะมีกำลังขับสูงมาก
คงต้องลองดูกันต่อไปว่าจะสามารถเอาชนะแอมป์ตัวที่กล่าวมาข้างบนได้หรือไม่
ถ้าเป็นอย่างนั้นจริงก็น่าสนใจ เพราะซื้อของแบบ limited edition แบบนี้ เวลาขายต่อราคาไม่ลงเท่าไร
ยิ่งถ้าเรียกว่าเป็นชุดที่ดีที่สุดแล้ว ราคามีแต่จะเพิ่มขึ้น อาจถือเป็นการลงทุนได้เลย

Rumor has it that the extra pins are for dual bias connections and some type of protection circuit like that fitted on the Quad ELS speakers. This might indicate that the new amplifier could be a dual mono config and a bit of a beast in terms of output. Hopefully all will be revealed in the coming weeks.

วันนี้เมื่อช่วงบ่าย คุณ จีซุน ประธานและกรรมการ Sennheiser Asia แวะมาเยี่ยมเยียนผมที่ออฟฟิต ได้คุยกันราวๆๆ 1 ชั่วโมง ผลปรากฏคือยังไม่มีความคืบหน้าอะไรมากนัก และเค้าบอกว่าจริงๆแล้ว หูฟังตัวใหม่ยังไม่มีใครเคยได้ฟังเลยด้วยซ้ำ เป็นเพียงการเปิดตัวให้เห็นตัวจริงเท่านั้นเองครับ

ส่วนเรื่องเว็บไซด์ใหม่เค้ายังบอกว่าเราเห็นไวมาก เค้าเองยังเพิ่งทราบเหมือนกัน ส่วนเรื่อง Pad และ Headband ของ Orpheus ผมได้ฝากคำถามให้เค้าถามทางเยอรมันว่าหากต้องการจะสามารถหาอะไหล่มาขายให้ได้หรือไม่แล้วครับ ซึ่งเค้ารับทราบแล้วครับ

ส่วน HD800 Gold เดือนหน้าถึงจะทราบราคารวมถึงน่าจะวางตลาดได้ครับ เค้าถามผมว่าหูฟัง Orpheus นั้นเมืองไทยมีกี่ตัว ผมตอบไปว่ามี 2 ตัว โดยมีเจ้าของคนเดียวคือพี่เกียรติชัยครับ ส่วนหูฟังตัวใหม่ เค้าถามผมว่ามีความเป็นไปได้ที่จะขายได้กี่เซ็ท

ผมบอกเค้าว่าอย่างมากน่าจะไม่เกิน 2 เซ็ท หรืออาจจะถึงกับกินไข่ เพราะช่วงนี้เศรษฐกิจไทยถูกกระชากตกจากเตียง คนมีสตางค์ที่จะซื้อได้ยังคงมีจำนวนเท่าเดิม แต่คนมีอารมณ์จะซื้อสงสัยจะหายากอยู่ครับ 555
